Jordan Brand put the 2026 Air Jordan 4 "Bred" in front of media at New York Fashion Week: 1989 shape, exposed white edges, Nike Air heel, November 27 in full-family sizing.

Jordan Brand rented a suite in New York during Fashion Week, laid out five holiday retros for the press, and one pair did all the talking. Sneaker News (@sneakernews) was in the room Thursday and reported what the leak accounts have been promising since August: the Air Jordan 4 "Bred" coming November 27 is built on the 1989 shape, exposed white edges and all, with Nike Air on the heel. This is the pair Jordan Brand chose to hand people instead of just emailing renders. That is the whole story.

## What was in the room Five retros, October through December. The Air Jordan 5 "Halloween" with glow soles on October 17. The Air Jordan 12 "Fireside" on October 24, which is a Cafecito 12 with a Santa story attached, and everybody in the suite knew it. The Air Jordan 14 "Forest Green" on October 31, first retro since 2005. The Air Jordan 10 "Sacramento" on December 5, an obscure 1995 Mitch Richmond-era colorway that predates Jordan Brand as a company. And the Bred 4 on Black Friday, full-family sizing, which Sneaker News flagged as the pair the brand is "leaning heavily into authenticity" on.

## Why the shape is the headline Every Bred 4 retro since 1999 has been a compromise. The 2008 Countdown Pack and the 2012 pair ran Jumpman heels. The 2019 pair brought Nike Air back but on the modern last, with the tongue and toe box that purists have been complaining about for a decade. The 2024 "Reimagined" swapped nubuck for leather and split the room. The 2026 pair, style code IX8180-001, is the first time Jordan Brand is selling the actual 1989 silhouette of "The Shot" shoe at retail. Slimmer toe, cleaner cuts, white edge exposed where the black nubuck meets the midsole, which is how vintage pairs actually look. Nice Kicks had the "SB shape" language on it back in the summer; NYFW is where it stopped being a rumor.

## The numbers $230 adult, per Sneaker News' release page. SNKRS plus every major Jordan account: Foot Locker, JD, Snipes, DICK'S, Concepts, Extra Butter, the whole list. Full-family sizing. Sneaker News' read is that this is a "readily available retro," not a limited drop, and that Jordan Brand plans to stuff shelves with it. In-hand photos from @xcsnkr and JD Sports have been circulating since August; what changed this week is that the brand put the shoe in front of media itself.

## The read The Bred 4 is "The Shot" over Ehlo in 1989, and it's been on rap album covers and video sets ever since. Jordan Brand knows exactly what it has, which is why a general-release pair is getting the OG-shape treatment that used to be reserved for the Bred 1 "Lost and Found" tier. That's the interrogation here: Jordan is making a lot of pairs, on the right last, at the right price, on the biggest shopping day of the year. Readily available is a business decision, and it's the correct one. The resale market for this shoe has been an extraction tax on the culture that made it matter. A wide Black Friday drop on the true shape is the brand finally paying that back.
