The homecoming was already the story. Now it has a number. Pollstar published the box-office report Thursday: two sold-out nights at Soldier Field, September 3 and 4, grossed $29.8 million on 129,562 tickets. The promoter that filed it is SPKRBX Presents, a Chicago independent, not one of the global touring divisions. That detail matters more than it looks.
## The record, in plain terms Friday night alone did $15,761,063. Pollstar says that's the highest single-day gross ever reported at Soldier Field, a building that opened in 1924. It beat Beyoncé's 2023 Renaissance night there by roughly $700,000. For a single hip-hop or rap show, Pollstar calls it a likely record too, edging the $15.4 million Kendrick Lamar and SZA reported at Lumen Field in Seattle in May 2025.
The in-the-round stage is how the number got that big. Pollstar puts the count at just under 65,000 tickets per night, above the stadium's 63,200 listed capacity, because a center stage opens up seats an end-stage show can't sell. The only bigger crowd totals on record there are Metallica, Ed Sheeran, and the Grateful Dead's 2015 farewell run.
## How an indie promoter got the show SPKRBX's president, Berto Solorio, told Pollstar the relationship started with the Vultures listening parties in 2024. His team put a United Center event on sale three days out and sold it in under seven minutes. That earned trust with Ye's camp, including manager John Monopoly. Solorio then flew to the SoFi Stadium shows in April to make the case for Chicago in person. He also promoted the July 4 Alamodome show in San Antonio, which he says moved 62,000 tickets.
His quote sums up the moment: "I don't know how many more Ye homecoming shows there could be. When there's monumental moments, you've got to not take it for granted."
## Where it sits against SoFi The Los Angeles shows in April, tied to the Bully release week, reported $32.6 million over two nights. Chicago came in a hair under that on total gross but beat it on the single-night mark. Put the two runs together and Ye has done more than $62 million in stadium business in the U.S. in five months, without a full traditional tour.
## What's next on the run Houston is Halloween at NRG, with general on-sale open since Thursday. Dallas (Nov 7) and Phoenix (Nov 21) are still in registration on tour.yeezy.com. Those three are being produced by IKON Presents, a different promoter, so this isn't one company riding the wave. It's the market pricing him at stadium scale again.
## The part that matters Numbers are receipts. The independent promoter piece is the real story: a Chicago company that built a festival out of Lyrical Lemonade just outbid the big touring machines for the biggest rap concert ever reported. That's the culture keeping the business in the culture. Same reason the beats in the vault stay independent.
